The Executive Office of the National Plan to Promote National Belonging and Consolidate the Values of Citizenship “Our Bahrain” launched the “Bahraini Camera” initiative, which was implemented by the Ministry of Information within the Bahrain Film Festival, at the Seef Mall Cinema. Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Information, expressed his thanks and appreciation to General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Committee to Follow Up the Implementation of the National Plan to Strengthen National Belonging and Consolidate the Values of Citizenship “Our Bahrain,” for his support and follow-up to the implementation of the plan’s initiatives in a way that contributes to achieving Its desired goals, praising the efforts of the plan’s executive office in pursuing specific initiatives to achieve the values, mission and objectives of the plan and providing programs that contribute to inspiring authentic Bahraini values.
He stressed that the “Bahraini Camera” initiative is the first project of its kind in the Arab world, in which 18 Bahraini directors, 10 Bahraini writers, and more than 100 Bahraini artists and creators participate, with the aim of creating a different cinematic experience to achieve the goals of the national plan to enhance belonging and consolidate the values of citizenship, “Our Bahrain,” from By deepening the role of culture in our peoples and societies. He pointed out that this initiative comes within the government’s directives to empower youth, put them at the top of priorities, develop their creative abilities, hone their skills, participate in decision-making, excel in the creativity and innovation sector, and enhance national belonging.
The Minister of Information added that the Bahrain Film Festival this year comes as a continuation of the Ministry’s role in promoting the film industry, supporting its fields, and ensuring the development of national talent in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to support the film industry to enhance local production.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all those responsible for this initiative and wished all participants success. And success. For his part; Brigadier General Mohammed Bin Dinah, General Supervisor of the Executive Office of “Bahraini Noura,” affirmed that the “Bahraini Camera” initiative, with the distinguished artistic state it represents, comes as an embodiment of the values of pride and honor stemming from the lofty royal vision, which represents the basic starting point for “Bahraini Nona,” noting that The support and follow-up of Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the National Plan Implementation Follow-up Committee, had a great impact on achieving these visions and launching this technical and national project. He explained that Bahrain is proud of its cultural components and youth competencies, with a distinguished balance of creative and innovative capabilities, armed with self-confidence and a willingness to move towards horizons of creative work, whether they are directors, writers or technicians, adding that this real wealth increases our confidence in moving forward. Towards building and translating aspirations and hopes through the Bahraini person who is capable, not only of success, but of overcoming any obstacles to that end. Bin Dinah pointed out that Bahrain is the “homeland of success” and its environment is fertile and rich to achieve it in many fields, including, of course, film and television production. He expressed his thanks and appreciation for the constructive partnership with the Ministry of Information in implementing this initiative, praising the efforts of the participants and wishing them success. During the event, the authors and directors were honored for the efforts they made in preparing and presenting the participating films. A short film was also shown about the “Bahraini Camera” initiative and its objectives, and biographies of the authors and directors were presented, in addition to the display of the participating films, which numbered 18 short films that dealt with various topics and issues. It aims to highlight authentic Bahraini values.
