The Farmers Market is organized by the Agriculture and Marine Resources Department of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, which is the government body responsible for food security and safety in the Kingdom.
Many initiatives have been launched to develop the agricultural sector in Bahrain, including developing agricultural laboratories, supporting farmers, encouraging agricultural investment, and marketing farmers’ products through the seasonal farmers’ market in the Budaiya Botanical and Permanent Garden, and in the farmers’ market in the Aali area.
Seasonal farmers market
First organized in 2012, the Farmers' Market was an initiative to develop Bahrain's agriculture sector to support more sustainable food production and promote the sale of sustainably produced products.
The Farmers' Market is organized annually at Budaiya Botanical Gardens from December to April and is open every Saturday from 8am to 2pm.
