Archaeologists and excavations have traced the history of pottery making in Bahrain to the days of the ancient Dilmun civilization, which existed five thousand years before Christ, due to what they found of jars or the remains of pottery jars in the Dilmun cemeteries, as pottery vessels were necessary in human life and could not be dispensed with for use in Cooking and preserving milk and water, and its necessity remained until recently when metal and ceramic utensils invaded human life, toppling pottery from its throne and expelling it from people’s lives. However, some people still prefer clay utensils because they believe that they are healthier than others.
